Info Post
This summer has been a jumble of happy moments and utter heartbreak. Because of that a few blog posts slipped through the cracks. My in-laws came for a visit at the beginning of July; the boys loved spending time with their Texas grandparents and getting to know my sister-in-law. Most of you who follow me on Instagram have seen these pictures already since I was on IG every day they were here, but I never took the time to officially blog the visit. The day after they left tragedy struck our church and life just kept rolling after that. So will you forgive me if we jump back in time a bit? I owe it to my in-laws and it will be fun to see how much we have already packed into the summer.
Fresh flowers for visiting family! One of the tiny ways I try to say "I'm happy you are here" :)
One of my favorite days and the only day Bill had completely off. We spent 4th of July at a state park, soaking up the sun, swimming in the water and enjoying a picnic lunch.
Grandpa and Memere brought awesome plans for a DIY tent and we I mean Bill and Memere ;) whipped it out in a few hours. Total bliss for the boys!
Hanging out enjoying the A/C. It was hot hot hot while they were here!
A trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to the aquarium. Aunt Claire was able to join us, and despite the crazy crowds I think everyone had a sweet time.
Bonding with Grandpa over motorcycle magazines :)
No we don't have a secret 3rd child :) That's my nephew, Hudson. He joined us on the trip to the air museum.
We had no clue it was a "no touch" museum. Oy vey! 3 tykes under 5 was a bit of a challenge, but they turned out to be great listeners.
Say Cheese!  This was the kind of plane Grandpa Bill's dad flew in during WWII.
One of my favorite pictures. Such sweetness.
Blackberry picking is our new favorite thing to do as a family!
Silly boys, fresh produce, cloudy skies, it was a good afternoon!
So there you have it! It was a whirlwind of a week. Between trips to the beach, tent building, aquarium visits, blackberry picking and so much more my boys soaked up every moment the got with the Texas crew. Thank you Grandpa, Mememre and Aunt Claire for carving this time out to spend with us. Much love to y'all!

Since this post took a little trip back in time, I'm curious to know, what was your favorite week of summer?
